Wedge Hybrid Trumpet Mouthpiece

Wedge 65mv Hybrid Trumpet Mouthpiece

$335.00
Description

The Bach 7C is one of the most commonly issued beginner trumpet mouthpieces — but it's also one of the deepest cups in that size range, which makes it harder to play than it needs to be for young players. The Bach 10½C and similar mouthpieces are a much better starting point: a smaller, more manageable diameter with a cup depth closer to a Bach 3C. They're underappreciated, and the Wedge 65MV brings all of their advantages into the Wedge design.

The 65MV is a true all-round mouthpiece. The smaller diameter suits younger players and anyone who finds the larger orchestral sizes too demanding, and the medium cup depth gives you the versatility to move across styles and settings without being locked into one character. It's the little brother of the Bach 3C in the best sense — lighter and more efficient, but with the same balanced, workable tone.

It also transfers well to piccolo trumpet, where the smaller diameter and medium cup suit the instrument naturally.

One of the top ten Wedge trumpet models, and an easy recommendation for students, advancing players, and anyone who wants a dependable everyday mouthpiece that covers real ground.

The Hybrid version uses a 3D-printed polymer rim and cup liner made from medical-grade resin, bonded permanently to a brass base — comfortable, warm on the lips, and designed around the natural geometry of the embouchure.

Comparable in feel and character to the Bach 10½C and 7D, GR 65MX, Schilke 12B and 13B, Warburton 5MD, and Yamaha 11B4 and 13B4.
