Calgary Alberta is has some of the worst conditions for reeds. with an elevation of 1,045 meters (3,428 feet) above sea level and average humidity of 48% reeds dry out incredibly fast and warp and crack fast. We found Boston Sax shop reeds with a thicker tip last better here, and forestone reeds are our favorite synthetic option we have found.
