Saxophone Indepth Maintenance Service (COA)

Description
A saxophone that's regularly maintained plays better, lasts longer, and costs less to own over time. This service is designed for instruments in decent condition — not a rebuild, but a thorough overhaul that brings everything back to where it should be and keeps it there.
The work takes about 10 hours. The instrument is fully disassembled. Every key is cleaned individually by hand, removing the old black abrasive oil that accumulates in mechanisms over time and causes wear. Keys are lubricated, regulated, and key heights are recorded and adjusted for optimal response. Up to five pads are replaced as needed; additional pads are charged at $100 per pad. Neck cork is replaced if needed.
For a more complete aesthetic result, add the Mechanism Polish service.
The math on regular maintenance is simple. Serviced every 2,000 hours of playing, a professional service amortises to less than $15 a month over three years — or about 13 cents per hour of play. Less than a Netflix subscription. More than worth it for an instrument you rely on.
If your saxophone hasn't had repair work in 10 to 20 years, it may need a full rebuild rather than maintenance — in that case we'll assess and advise honestly before proceeding.
Parts are billed separately upon completion (please expect up to an additional 150$ to cover pads, corks and felts). Significant additional damage will be quoted at consultation. Anything not listed above is not included in the service.
