The Boston Sax Shop (BSS) is a high-end, boutique saxophone specialty shop located in Boston, Massachusetts. It has gained a massive reputation in the global saxophone community both as a repair hub, and as a manufacturer of premium accessories designed to solve common equipment frustrations. The Boston Sax shop was started by Jack Finucane. He studied saxophone performance at the New England Conservatory before apprenticing in Saxophone repair. Because Jack was a performer first, his approach to repair and product design is deeply "player-centric." He focuses on equipment in way that targets solving problems saxophone players experience. They offer high-quality neck straps, reeds, reed cases, and saxophone maintenance tools.

• Black Label Reeds are the original BSS Reed. They are a reed that balances a classical tone with the articulation and response of a Jazz reed. They have a dark warm balanced tone with easy articulation. Features a thicker tip and full heart profile. In a dry climate like here in Calgary a thicker tip can be a godsend when worrying about reeds warping and cracking.
• Blue Label reeds are the Boston sax shops rendition of a classical saxophone reed. They are Dark, Warm, even and Focused. Features a thinner tip, thick heart profile and filed cut.
• Silver Label Reeds were the second reed release from the Boston sax shop, as a slightly brighter alternative to Black label reeds. They share many of the same characteristics, but lean closer to a Jazz/contemporary style reed. Features a thicker tip and medium heart profile.
• Red Label reeds are the newest and brightest Boston Sax Shop Reed rendition. They are powerful, with projection and flexibility. Features a thin tip and a medium heart profile.
