Brass Chemical Cleaning + Precision Valve Alignment
Pickup currently not available
Description
A proper deep clean and alignment does more for a brass instrument than most players expect. Over time, buildup inside the bore affects tone and response in ways that are hard to notice gradually but obvious once it's been cleaned. Valves that are slightly out of alignment add resistance and slow things down. This service addresses both.
The instrument is completely disassembled and the body cleaned using a hybrid chemical and ultrasonic process — thorough enough to reach everywhere a simple flush can't. Valves and slides are lubricated with synthetic lubricant. Every piston and rotor instrument receives a precision valve alignment. Piston instruments are reassembled with new felts and bumpers, and water key corks are replaced. Valve guides and springs are replaced as needed.
A cleaning is required before any dent work (except bell flare work), and dent work will be quoted when the instrument comes in — some easily accessible dents may be included at no extra charge.
If your instrument has more than two stuck slides or significant corrosion buildup, our Super Chem Clean option is the right starting point.
