Vandoren V16 Bari Mouthpiece

This V16 has a history. It was Joshua Adam's personal baritone mouthpiece for years — and before it was listed for sale, it went through a full refacing and optimization at his bench. The tip opening has been widened to an 8 (0.110") and baffle work was done to improve response and evenness across the range.

The V16 baritone shares DNA with hard rubber Berg Larsen mouthpieces — a focused tone with good body and projection. It's a design that works across styles and holds up in loud ensemble settings without losing center. This one takes those qualities and pushes them further than any stock V16 will.

For the past several years, this mouthpiece has been our in-shop benchmark for playtesting and comparing other baritone mouthpieces. That's not a marketing line — it's what we've actually used when evaluating new stock. It plays that well.
