Shakuhachi Headjoint Lavoie Flutes

The shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese bamboo flute, renowned for its unique, deep sound and aesthetic simplicity. Inspired by these, Lavoie heads are made from grenadilla wood and are designed to be played with a modern transverse flute.

The outer diameter of the Lavoie head tenon is 19.7 mm and it works on most common flutes. Free tenon fitting by our instrument repair team is included upon purchase. Send us an email and we can even size it to your flute tenon before shipping.
