Selmer Reference 54 Alto Sax (Used)

A Professional Alto sax from Selmer Paris. This instrument was played by a professional musician here in calgary. If you are looking for a solid alto sax this is a great choice. It was re-padded here by Joshua Adam, and now features a full set of music medic tan pads.

The Selmer Paris Reference 54 is a professional alto saxophone. It is Selmer's modern callback to the Selmer Mark VI, built in the 1950s and 60s. Many players still use the Mark VI as their standard. The Reference 54 aims for that feel and tone, with modern build and tuning.

Tone and response
The tone is dark and warm, with good core and focus. It speaks easily across the full range. Low notes respond well, and the upper register stays even. It suits jazz, classical, and section playing.
