Polaris Adjustable Barrel

Every clarinetist knows the problem. You pull your barrel out to tune in a warm hall and you're in the ballpark, but there's a tenon gap that kills resonance and risks leaking. In a cold room you'd rather push the barrel in, but there's nowhere to go. The Polaris solves all of it in one piece.

The center ring adjusts the tuning length anywhere from 64mm to 68mm in 0.25mm increments — precise, repeatable, and fast to set. Cold winter rehearsal where the hall is running sharp? Dial it shorter. Warm summer outdoor gig where you're already pulling out? Dial it longer. Warming up through a concert performance and tracking your pitch as the instrument comes up to temperature? Adjust it in real time, right on the horn.

The key advantage over simply pulling a standard barrel is that there's no tenon gap. The Polaris maintains a continuous bore as you adjust, which means full resonance and no leaking at the joint — something pulling out can never give you. The bore itself is aged grenadilla and hard rubber Eco-wood construction, which keeps the warm, rich tone you'd expect from a wooden barrel intact across the full adjustment range.
