Description
The Pagoda barrel's distinctive exterior shape isn't decorative. The unusual profile redistributes mass along the barrel in a way that optimizes how resonance transfers between the mouthpiece and the body of the instrument — a design choice that affects tone and response in ways a standard cylindrical barrel can't.
The M7S is built from stabilized maple — wood that has been treated to eliminate the cracking and warping that natural wood barrels are prone to in changing humidity and temperature conditions. You get the acoustic character of real wood with the dimensional stability of a synthetic material. Carbon fiber rings add a further layer of reinforcement. It's a barrel designed to stay consistent season after season, in Calgary winters and summer heat alike.
The oval/conical bore of the M7S is the widest in the Pagoda lineup. Uversa World describes the four models this way: the M6 is the only traditional bore design; the M6S, M7, and M7S each feature progressively wider unique bore designs, with the tapered variants being slightly more open than their counterparts. The M7S sits at the most open end of that spectrum — suited to players who want maximum airflow, a broader tonal spread, and a freer blowing feel.
CNC machined for precision and consistency throughout.
