Description
Long Island Brass Co. mouthpieces are built around a two-piece system — the cup and rim are separate from the shank, which means you can change the backbore taper without changing the mouthpiece itself. That's a significant advantage for players who want to fine-tune resistance, projection, and response for different playing situations or different horns.
Extra shanks let you build out your options without buying a second mouthpiece. Keep one shank on the practice horn, one for the gig horn. Or dial in a tighter backbore for section work and a more open one for solo playing — same cup, different feel.
Available in a full range of configurations to suit trombone, euphonium, bass trombone, and contrabass trombone players: large shank (LS1, LS T2, LS3), small bore (SB1, SB2, SB3), small shank tenor (SS1, SS2), Pollard Bass, and euphonium (E1, E2). Each shank is CNC machined to the same tight tolerances as the rest of the LI Brass Co. lineup.
