The Firebird is what happens when a clarinet manufacturer looks at the best of French and German design traditions and asks what a professional clarinet could be if you combined the two intentionally. After years of development, Royal Global built something genuinely new.

The double register mechanism is the feature players notice first. Most clarinets struggle with throat Bb — it's flat, it's stuffy, and it demands compensation. The Firebird's double register key addresses that directly, giving you a throat Bb that speaks cleanly and sits in tune with the rest of the instrument. The semi-automatic G/D vent on the lower joint goes further. Adjustable by screw, it can be opened or closed depending on what you need from the instrument — more projection and clarity when the music calls for it, more sweetness and colour when it doesn't. One instrument, adjustable to different playing contexts.

The poly-cylindrical bore steps between two bore sizes as you move through the instrument, improving intonation across registers and giving the tone a rich, warm core with strong centred projection. Playing it feels similar to the Buffet Festival — a clean sound with a lot of colour and a response that holds focus without closing off the dynamic range.
