The body is aged grenadilla, the same premium wood used in professional instruments that cost significantly more. The poly-cylindrical bore steps between two bore sizes as you move through the instrument, stabilizing intonation and airflow as you move between notes. The result is a warm, centred tone with a tonal colour and flexibility that goes beyond what most instruments at this price deliver. It responds evenly across all registers without the uneven patches that frustrate advancing players on cheaper instruments.

The A clarinet version is particularly valuable for players moving into orchestral and chamber repertoire, where the A is essential and intonation demands are high. Having a well-made A at this price point removes a significant barrier for serious students and early-career professionals.

Two grenadilla barrels — 65mm and 66mm — are included for accurate intonation in different tuning situations. The alternate Ab/Eb key comes standard, adding technical flexibility that advancing players will use regularly. Silver-plated keywork throughout.
