JodyJazz HR Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece*

The baritone is a big horn, and it needs a mouthpiece that can handle everything it's asked to do — sit deep in a big band section, cut through a loud room, or sing quietly on a ballad. The JodyJazz HR* was built with all of that in mind.

It starts with genuine German rod rubber, the same material that made vintage hard rubber mouthpieces so prized. Hard rubber has a warmth and a weight to the sound that other materials don't quite replicate, and the HR* puts that front and centre. The tone is full and rich across the whole range of the horn, with a natural projection that carries without pushing.

The rollover baffle gives you presence and clarity without brightness — your sound has an edge to it, but the bottom stays fat and the overall character stays warm. The medium chamber reinforces that balance, keeping the low end strong and the midrange full. Nothing here is thin or pinched.

Every HR* is CNC-milled from solid bar stock and then hand-finished and play-tested before it ships. That matters on a big horn where an uneven facing or a rough tip rail will fight you through the whole range. You're getting a mouthpiece that's been checked by a real player, not just pulled off a machine.

Four tip openings let you dial in the right feel:

Size 5*: 0.085" or 2.16mm

Size 6*: 0.095" or 2.41mm

Size 7*: 0.105" or 2.67mm

Size 8: 0.110" or 2.79mm
