Our Values

Wind Instrument Proshop was created by Joshua Adam after being inspired by amazing instrument specialty shops like KBSAx, Flute world, Jlandres brass and JL Woodwinds. The desire is to bring an experience like the businesses above to Musicians in Alberta.

  • Our priority is consistency of quality. We are always looking to create new partnerships with brands that show excellent consistency and high quality. If there is a product you are interested in let us know, if there is enough interest we will do our best to make it available.
  • Every instrument sold by us is inspected and set up. We do our best effort to make sure instruments sold by us are in their best playing condition when you receive it from us. Because we do a inspection and Set-up on every instrument, we do not sell instruments "New in Box".
  • Client relationships and interaction is #1 priority. By our best effort we want everyone who interacts with us to leave feeling valued, respected and as if they are the smartest most wonderful person who has ever had the pleasure of existing.
  • We do not believe in a distinction between “Professional” & “Student” gear. Instruments and gear are simply tools musicians use to create their sound. The tonal preferences and needs of a musician may change over time. We hope to provide access to a variety of options that offer high quality.
  • All musicians should have access to high quality repair, and education about repair. Repair should be accessible and never be scary.
  • It is important to be able to test gear before you purchase it. Everyone has different tonal preferences and we want to enable you to make an informed decision about your purchases. We allow play testing of equipment we sell, and have a trial policy as well.
  • Create an infrastructure to support musicians and provide opportunities and insight to pursue music both as a professional and alongside life as a hobby.

Frequently asked questions

What is your address?

We spent all of our money on brand partnerships, and acquiring product. So we can't afford a commercial space yet...(Coming soon hopefully)

Where can i test gear you sell?

Send us an email, text us or DM us on Instagram, and we will book a time with you to test out any equipment you are interested in! (Maybe even some that isn't listed online yet.)

What is your favourite instrument?

We play just about everything here, from trumpets to oboes! While it's tough to pick just one favourite, our director, Joshua, loves the trombone!

How much Money do you make?

Not Much... Almost all profit, (except what we need to pay our bills), we put back into the business. What that looks like acquiring new brand partnerships, importing new products, organizing events, and putting together educational resources. We have a strong desire to turn this business into an incredible resource for musicians in Canada.

Do you sell reeds?

Not yet, (we ran out of money)...But we do try to keep a selection on hand so you can play test any product we have available.

Do you like food?

Yes, we love food! But before you play an instrument, we recommend brushing your teeth or drinking water.

Why are so many products out of stock?

As we set up new partnerships and order new products, we add them to our online store. If it is out of stock it is most likely a product that is currently in the mail. (If there are products we no longer sell, or products that are discontinued, we remove them from our website.)
