Key and linkage oil is one of those maintenance items that gets skipped until something starts squeaking or dragging — at which point the mechanism has often already accumulated wear it didn't need. Regular oiling keeps moving parts moving freely and protects against the rust, corrosion, and oxidation that shorten the life of a key mechanism over time.

The needle-point tip makes precise application easy — even into the small openings and tight spaces on a complex woodwind or brass mechanism. No drips, no excess, no oil spreading where it shouldn't go.

Application: clean around the keys first with a cotton swab — oil applied to a dirty surface pushes that dirt directly into the bearing. Then apply sparingly to the bearing surface between keys, where the keys pivot against each other. Less is more here.
