A good stand keeps your instrument safe, accessible, and ready to play. Whether you're mid-rehearsal and need to set down your horn, running a lesson studio, or setting up for a performance, having a dedicated stand is one of the simplest ways to protect your investment.
This collection covers stands for the full range of woodwind instruments — alto, tenor, bari, soprano straight and curved saxophone, flute, piccolo, and clarinet. Each stand is designed with the specific weight, balance point, and peg contact areas of its instrument in mind. A stand built for a flute won't support a baritone saxophone, and vice versa — so having the right fit matters.
For saxophone players, floor stands hold the instrument upright by the bell, keeping the neck strap free and the keywork away from contact surfaces. Soprano players have two options here: straight and curved body stands are both available, since the balance point differs between the two. Bari players need a stand with a wider, sturdier base to handle the instrument's size and weight.
Flute and piccolo stands are lightweight and compact, making them practical for players who move between rooms or travel frequently. Clarinet stands peg into the bell and hold the instrument vertically, which is preferable to leaving it assembled on a flat surface where it can roll or fall.
The Wood & Winds comfort thumbrest for saxophone is also part of this collection — a straightforward upgrade for players who find the standard thumbrest uncomfortable during longer playing sessions. It improves hand position and reduces strain without affecting the instrument's mechanics.
If you're not sure which stand fits your instrument model, reach out before ordering. Getting the right one the first time is easier than returning a poor fit.
