Tenor HR* Mouthpiece

The HR* is JodyJazz's take on the traditional hard rubber tenor mouthpiece — warm, free-blowing, and built to a quality standard that shows immediately when you play it. The round medium/small chamber and rollover baffle sit in classic jazz tenor territory: a full, centred tone with natural projection and the kind of even response across the full range of the horn that lets you focus on playing rather than managing the equipment.

It's a versatile mouthpiece in the best sense — at home in straight-ahead jazz, big band, blues, and ballads, without leaning too far in any one direction. The free-blowing feel makes it easy to play for extended sessions, and the warm, beautiful tone holds up across dynamic ranges without thinning out at the edges.

Made from genuine German rod rubber and hand-finished and play-tested before it ships. JodyJazz's quality control standards show in the consistency between examples — what you order is what you get.

Four tip openings suit different playing preferences. Size 5* (0.085" / 2.16mm) for more resistance and control. Size 6* (0.095" / 2.41mm) for a versatile middle option. Size 7* (0.105" / 2.67mm) for more room and flexibility. Size 8 (0.110" / 2.79mm) for players who want maximum openness and a bigger personal sound.
