Ponzol M2 Plus Stainless Steel Tenor Mouthpiece
Description
Peter Ponzol builds his mouthpieces from surgical stainless steel for a reason. Most metal mouthpieces use brass or bronze alloys that require plating to be safe — and plating that wears away over time. Stainless steel needs no plating, involves no unsafe chemicals in production, and holds up for decades without flaking or visible wear. It's a safer material and a more durable one.
The M2 Plus is the brightest and most powerful model in the Ponzol alto lineup. The medium chamber and high baffle give the tone a bright, punchy character with real projection — enough presence to cut through a loud band cleanly and be heard without forcing. Moderately bright rather than aggressively so, which keeps the sound musical and flexible while still delivering the punch and power that contemporary, R&B, funk, and commercial alto playing demands.
Every mouthpiece is designed, finished, and play-tested by Peter Ponzol personally.
