Description
The Canyon M-61 brass is a free blowing neck that has a vibrant buzz and spread which activates easily. With the emphasis on the higher frequencies that the M-61 brass alloy generates, it is a neck that offers up an exciting quick response and bright sound. As your dynamics increase, the Canyon model is designed to open up and play wider yet retain its powerful projection.
The M-61 brass alloy is one of the two brass alloys that are used in the Vanguard line of necks.
KB Sax developed a heat treatment method for the M-61 alloy – called precipitation hardening or “aging”, which allows them to harden the metal in the neck tube and thereby bring out the desired tonal color and response of the M-61 neck.
If you choose to purchase a neck online every neck tenon is custom fabricated to fit your instrument. We will contact you to arrange Tenon measurement/sizing.
We will also include a free tenon fitting for your saxophone for free after purchase. If you choose to change or upgrade your saxophone in the future, we will fit the neck so you can continue to experience the fantastic benefits with your new instrument.
