The vintage Otto Link Slant Signature is one of the most sought-after tenor mouthpieces ever made — warm, fat, and full of character, with a sound that defined jazz tenor playing for a generation. The essential design elements of the vintage HR Slant are all here — the rollover baffle, the large chamber, the overall warmth and depth that made the original so prized. But Drake didn't simply copy the geometry. The rollover baffle and floor delivery points have been specifically calibrated for optimal airflow and a beautifully balanced overtone series. The slight undercutting of the side walls adds dimension and openness that the vintage piece doesn't always deliver consistently. The result is a mouthpiece with the vintage feel and character of a great Slant, but with the evenness and reliability that modern precision manufacturing makes possible.
